You provide your own mounting solution – many builders utilize the 4 screws on the back using aluminum sheet, angled aluminum strips, custom ‘flush’ wing installs using adhesives-so many options! Since all applications vary we do not make official recommendations.
Wiring questions? Read this: The control box is a simple three wire install: black line to ground, red and yellow to TWO individual 12vDC switches. The switch to the red line then controls sold-on (landing light) mode, the yellow line switch enables the strobe effect. Both switches can be turned on safely at the same time (solid-on mode overrides strobe effect). The control box then runs two wires to each strobe light unit. These lines (ground and charge line) can be extended to any length with no negative effects, simply maintain the polarity of the wires. BE CERTAIN to use proper fusing or circuit breaker techniques for installing the control box. Follow all other installation instructions included with the unit. If you desire to run on 24volt systems just add our CRAZEDpilot 24volt to 12v step down transformer to your order!
IF YOU HAVE NO BATTERY: Do not attempt to drive this unit with only the alternator output of your Rotax two-stroke motor, either add a battery to your system or CONTACT US at the time of your order and we’ll include a FREE 8-AA battery pack to allow you to run the unit on your ultralight or hang glider.
