THREE DIFFERENT STROBE MODES! STROBE / WIG-WAG / LANDING LIGHT (constant-on state)
LED high output technology! Weighs only 5.3 oz for the ENTIRE system! Strobe size: 3.75"L x 1"W x 1.75"H Color: White
Creates NO ELECTRICAL NOISE like those high voltage tube-style strobe lights of the past!
Simple 12 volt installation! A crazy-bright low current wig-wag strobe light gets a LOT of attention then switch on the triple-pulse strobes to really catch their eye. On landing approach change to LANDING LIGHT mode which turns the lights on constant.
Can be seen for over a mile in daylight! Power draw is less than 400mA from your battery! No cheaper Wig-Wag solution exists for your LSA, ELSA, or Ultralight aircraft! Customers report that people on the ground can see their CRAZEDpilot Strobe Kit BEFORE their aircraft can be seen!
No battery? NO PROBLEM - add our 8-AA Battery pack to your order!
24 volt system? NO PROBLEM - just add our CRAZEDpilot 24v to 12v step down transformer to your order!
Note: You will need to supply your own switches to activate each of the 3 modes. We do not supply nor recommend a specific type of switch. All you have to do is get 12V to the lights via switches in whatever way you see fit - could be 3 push buttons, 3 individual switches or 1 rotating (multi-position) switch in order to select each of the 3 modes as necessary.
NOTE: For experimental aircraft only.
These lights are intended to be a low-cost alternative to bring additional lighting into your interior. better than expected quality. their photo of the module needs an update. what i got was better quality than what i see. the lights are as expected pretty cheesy but work great
Like the previous order used on experimental aircraft, which worked great on it, this item will be used on another project aircraft.
Absolutely the worst item I could have bought. Poorly and cheaply constructed and not suitable for installation with the brackets supplied. Four tiny screws are all that hold the lens cover to the casing, to which the attach brackets are held.
Upon installing the control module the back plate popped off, it was hot glued in place.
Waste of valuable time to begin installing the lights and then have to remove them.
First unpacking impression...Man these are small. Nobody gonna see them.
Then I put some juice to them...
Wow. For such small lamps, do they ever put out.
At that price. I am very satisfied.
Will need more for everyone else in my Group
Am planning on combining both units together for landing light, recognition and strobe. Size will enable to mount right below the spinner in lower cowl which will not disrupt the negative pressure airflow for cooling.
But it could be improved by adding proper wire terminal for the terminals on the control unit. Otherwise a great product! (CRAZED replies: Not sure what this customer means, but the terminals are a quality connection and never come loose!)
Not bad! Have not hooked these up to my experimental yet but I did run them on a 9 v battery outside at night and they were fairly bright on just 9 volt. I believe these should meet the claimed specs once installed and powered with the correct voltage and ampage . Should work great for forward anti collision lights. (CRAZEDpilot NOTE: DO NOT RUN THESE AT REDUCED POWER, please use 12v)
Nice combo, and perfect choice to mix with green/red LEDs
I suggest you add a switch to the combo so you can change the mode....
The control unit is easy to wire and provides the ability to have a single wing tip light do multiple functions.
I had a high voltage strobe system that failed and used the wig wag system to replace fit with LED's on a RV7.
