Product Description
If you use an iPad with ForeFlight, Garmin Pilot, or any navigation software/device with terrain or traffic notifications, you need the CRAZEDpilot BLUETOOTH HELICOPTER Headset Interface. Our Bluetooth interface allows you to WIRELESSLY hear "TERRAIN" warnings or "TRAFFIC" notices, right in your headset - without the risk or inconvenience of wires!
This solves a critical safety issue -AUDIBLE WARNINGS must be heard by the pilot immediately! Cables wrapped around your controls to a yoke-mounted device or across a throttle quadrant is dangerous! Instead, utilize the CRAZEDpilot Headset Interface to wirelessly connect audio direct to ANY pilot headset**.
Compatible with Foreflight, Garmin Pilot, and any other software on your Bluetooth-enabled device including stereo quality music for entertainment during flight. Garmin Pilot users will experience audible traffic and terrain warnings when paired with an ADSB-In and/or GPS source. Foreflight provides their customers with runway area alerts, pressure altitude alerts, and traffic warnings when paired with an ADSB-In source and ADSB-Out equipped aircraft. Please contact your preferred software vendor for more specific details.
* Internal battery runs 4-6 hours between charges
* Easily charge (even during operation) via included 12v USB adapter
* Pairs easily to any Bluetooth capable device
* Use your favorite GPS or Navigation software
* Audio priorty given to ATC/Intercom (Bluetooth mutes slightly)
In most modern aircraft, the music will be heard through the individual headset it is connected to rather than through the entire intercom system, yet the intercom system still functions properly and you can continue to talk comfortably to your passengers (or the passengers using their own CRAZEDpilot Music Adapter) - anyone with a CRAZEDpilot Music Adapter Cable can listen to their own choice of soothing music while enroute to your destination.
In older intercom systems, the music may be heard by either just your front or rear passengers (or both) depending on internal intercom circuitry.
For loudest audio possible, make sure your levels are all set right. Turn your phone / audio device volume to max, turn your headset clear UP to max, then turn DOWN your intercom volume until it's comfortable but still audible.
Installation is easy; simply pair the Interface to your Bluetooth device, then connect it between the aircraft panel and your headset.
Make safety a priority and get the CRAZEDpilot BLUETOOTH Headset Interface today!
** This product is for audio to the headset only, it does not support telephone calls through the headset.

Good, but not perfect.
My IPhone readily connects and has not disconnected, The audio has lots of clicks and pops that is only present in my music. Definitely useable, but not HIFI. Also, it feeds audio into my ICS systems and not to your helmet only.

In-line Bluetooth helicopter jack connections
The Bluetooth works fine, unfortunately trying to use it with other communication devices it does not work well, it could be just the way our helicopters are set up. My ground men say all they can hear is music when I try to transmit. Also the volume goes way down when I do plug it in to my helicopter jack. Other than that the volume is adequate, not real loud but you don’t need it to much louder anyhow.
