Can be used with or without an intercom.The CRAZEDpilot Push-To-Talk button can be well positioned on the yoke or stick, and is extremely convenient with it's pass-through design plugging INLINE into the mic jack of your your headset (.206" standard Mic jack).

Works Great!
This PTT switch works as advertised with my handheld (a Vertex) and headset. No need for an intercom setup. Great if you’re flying a Cub, ultralight, or anything else without a built-in radio or electrical system.
